OSWEGO TOURNEY
DEC 26 - Guilderland placed seven out of 11 entered
wrestlers, including one champion, en route to a 5th place finish at the
Ken Haines Memorial Tournament held at Oswego State. Eugene Sellie
picked up a second Dutchmen Award, as well as a second tournament title,
when he went 4 - 0 as the lone champion for the team. Senior
Captains Travis Wolanski also had impressive performances, with their
lone losses coming in the finals.
Miller went 3 - 1 on the day, while Wolanski was 4 - 1. Also
placing for the Dutchmen were Michael Lainhart (96 - 3rd), Kevin Bates
(119 - 4th), Ben Moon (135 - 4th), and Kevin McCarthy (285 - 3rd).
All wrestlers finished with a .500 or better record, scoring
points and contributing to a solid team finish.
