MAR 1 - The 2010 Guilderland Wrestling Banquet will be held at 6:00 pm
on Saturday, March 19 at Casey's Banquet House in Rensselaer.
301 Washington Ave, Rensselaer. Take I-90 east to Exit 7
Washington Ave, Rensselaer. Take a right at light. Banquet House
is immediately on right. Go past building and make first right and park
in the parking lot.
We hope to see wrestlers, friends and family from all program levels
there!

Season Highlights
1) Senior Captain Travis Wolanski becomes only the 9th
wrestler in team history to join the Century Club. Travis earned
his 100th win while going 7 - 0 at the Middletown Dual Tournament.
6 of the 9 members have reached the milestone since the year 2000.
2) Kevin Bates reaches the Section II finals as a junior. Bates' only loss of the tournament came from Shenendehowa's undefeated Nick Kelly in the 125 lb finals.
3) Congrats to Coach Ronca and the entire JV team, who dominated
competition throughout the season. The future of Guilderland
Wrestling looked promising with the prospect of much talent coming up
through the ranks. We look forward to seeing you all at the
Varisty level next season!
4) Two former GHS wrestlers started for their
respective schools in NCAA competition this year. Junior Ian Desol
wrestled several matches for the Bloomsburg Huskies at 141, while true
Freshman Matt Cubillos earned the starting position at 133 for the
University of Virginia.
